Default Alignment Issues

I have the Bilstein 5100's adjustable up front and for some reason my truck will not stay aligned for very long. It seems to go out at least every 6 months. The shop that did the work says something about the way the front end is designed by Ford sucks and is known for alignment going out. I don't know if it is because of the level and this would happen without it or not since I put them on very early on.

Does anyone else have this problem? This is no offroad usage.

No other truck I have had needed an alignment every six months. My last truck I probably did it once or twice in 10 yrs.

Did you have the cam adjusters installed ? They go on the lower control arms, if installed right, they should keep it in spec.

I don't know. Probably not but could you find a pic or a link so I know what they are. The shop installed the shocks so if this part didn't come with them then they are not installed. I was not aware they were needed when I did my research.

Do a search for caster/camber kits for the year of your truck, should be able to find . I'm sorry I don't have time at the moment.

I found time ! Raybestos part # 6111215, or Specialty products part # 86250. That should get you going in the right direction.

So is this part something that Ford used to have and did away with or is it just something to help with this issue?

Unfortunately, ford chose to slot the LCA mounting points but decided to not use cams or anything else to hold the LCA in place so the alignment is prone to change especially once the factory torque is broke free. Most fords are like this. I guess it's a way to save a penny and make a dime from the customer later.
