Default Airbag Light on Dash

Anybody having trouble with their airbag light on the dash coming on and not going off? I did a search and didn't find anything. Mine came on yesterday and now everytime I get in the truck it comes on and does not go off.

I had that one time. The reason mine was happening was because there was lots of cargo behind my passenger seat squishing the back of front passenger seat. Once I moved the seat forward, the light turned off 15 min's later. Hope that helps.

If it is the one in the gauge pod, that is a huge issue and needs immediate dealer attention.

Yeah mine was in the guage pod as well but after 10 minutes of it being on, the odometer screen read "Remove objects from passenger seat". Thats why it occured to me that theres stuff pushing against the back the seat causing the problems cuz nothing was on the passenger seat. Anywayz, its better to be safe than sorry. I would go and get it checked out.

Default Back on again!!

Air bag light started coming back on intermittently several weeks ago. I took it back to the dealership yesterday and they just called back to say that they found the problem. They found a bad connector in the C pillar on the passengers side rear of the truck. I hope this fixes it. Other than that, this truck is great!!

reviving a thread here..... mine is doing the exact same thing.....

After 2 trips to the dealer, they say all is working as it should. However, yesterday it proved otherwise to me. it seems as there is no specific "trigger" to it.... i have had the seat completely empty, or with an adult passenger in it, and it will malfunction irregularly. The dealer cleared the codes the first time, but there were none stored the second time.

have there been any other causes besides this connector located in the pillar? maybe i will take mine apart and look for myself, it will be faster than a trip to the dealer.

Default Air bag light

Adding to this thread, I bought my 09 Screw 3 months ago from the dealer and they are willing to help for a price... but my air bag light comes on if I brake hard or accelerate hard and stays off next time I start the truck. I am thinking a loose connection or could it be something else? Anyone have any ideas

I had my airbag light going off and on for a bit.

TSB 13-1-14 said it had somthing to do with a faulty sensor in the seatbelt retractor.
