Default Airbag light?

So from what I've been reading the light is supposed to be on when no one is in the truck beside me. The light only comes on when someone is sitting in the seat doesn't that indicate that the airbag is off? I wouldn't think with the keyed plugs if there's any way it could be plugged in wrong, but is that even possible? So, am I going to have to check if someone cut the wires and then hook them up backwards or is the sensor just broken.

Truck is a 2014 super cab 5.0.

Where are you trying to read to answer this question? I believe the answer is printed right on the light itself.

Yes, when lit it has a person sitting in a seat with an X over the airbag? Unless I am looking at the 1/8" inch tall lit up part wrong? They could make it less confusing... Please either be helpful or just ignore anything I post from now on.

I also have the airbag light on in the cluster solid not flashing and always on. I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with my airbag system so giving smart alec answers does not help whether you believe it does or not.

Our 2018 truck at work it lights up when no one is in the seat. Isn't that how it is supposed to be? Why is mine lit up when there's someone sitting in it and then not light up when the seat is empty.

The dash light is less important. The cluster light is something to get checked out. You should be able to get it scanned at an auto parts store for free so you know why it's on.

Seems to be clique based here anyway. So I am not allowed to say anything if someone just posts a smartass answer to an honest question. Okay got it.

I am still struggling to see how that person's response was even remotely helpful, but yeah reading feelings into text is the main problem of the internet. If he was genuinely trying to be helpful then I apologize.
