Default Air conditioning Compressor

I bought a used 2010 F-150 FX4 a couple of weeks ago. When I put the air conditioner on, the compressor kicks on and off every 20 seconds. This does not appear to be normal. If there is something wrong, is there an easy fix? Thanks.

Since your new Ill cut you some slack. Use the search feature and lots of threads will come up on air conditioning issues. My guess is your system is low on freon.

Thanks for your responses. If I understand it correctly, an air conditioning system is a closed system. If I am low on refrigerant, would mean that there is a leak?

Yes. In one of the other AC threads they were talking about the systems possibly being under filled from the factory. Could have happened in your case.
