Aftermarket wheels and road salt

I've had my Fuel Kranks for about 5 1/2 yrs now and don't do anything special. Actually, they only get cleaned when it rains most of the time as I only wash my truck once or twice a year. I've had no issues with corrosion at all. The 2 screws that hold the center cap is starting to rust a bit and I bought some SS screws to replace them but haven't put them on yet.
This is 2 yrs after I put them on. I don't have any recent pics but they don't look any different.

We get salt, magnesium, calcium, etc. all over our roads. My wheels look great year after year. The key is to wash them by hand with soapy water at least once per month. That's all there is to it.
Car washes won't get them totally clean, and chemicals will eat them up. Just use soapy water and wash by hand.

I just used Adam's Polish's Ceramic Wheel Coating. Will last 1-2 years and will not come off from basic washes, wheel cleaners or detail sprays. Only normal wear or a buffer can get the coating off.

Anyone else want to add to this? I just put my 18" FX4 wheels on and am really hating the look. Kicking around the idea of getting 35" Ridge Grapplers and just leaving the Fuel wheels on and selling my 33" ATW3's and my complete set of 18" FX4 wheels with new Falken AT's

its my first winter with black and machined wheels so I coated mine with T9 boeshield. 1 rattle can was $18 from west marine but was enough for 3 coats on each wheel. no waxy residue, dried clear. I've heard many good things about it for rust prevention
