Looks great buddy! At first I thought someone posted pics of my truck interior. I'm not used to seeing someone else with the DNX. Congrats!!

I will see if I can get ahold of him. From what I understood the version of the Pac SWI-PS that I ordered (version 1.68) has the ability to initiate the voice programming (and bluetooth apparently) of the Pioneer HU. The media button on the steering wheel worked fine with the Pac unit to initiate this voice recognition programming. I tried to see if he could use the phone/voice button the steering wheel, but apparently that goes directly to the sync wiring and not to the radio harness. (doesn't matter, I can easily change source using my voice)

Ahhhh..your using a PAC unit, I ended up giong with Metra's AXXS or something like that. I read a few reviews how the PAC could be a little finiky, so i opted for the metra one, which apparently wont let me initiate the voice control from the steering wheel. I might have to get on the horn with metra, and see what they say.

Whoever creates a QUALITY system and includes the adapters..well..I will buy stock in their company. I wanted the back up camera and crap but didn't feel like waiting on more parts. The DNX is a very good unit though as is.

Great thread!, Since im looking at getting my F150 within a week( if all goes well) I really wanted the factory nav, but after thinking about it im not sure. If i go factory I probably wont have RCA jacks for amps. Am i correct? For you guys that have systems installed, where did u mount the amps? And any pics of install. Too bad we don't have audio/video section on here. (unless I overlooked it.)

To be honest when you get a nice higer-end HU like Kenwood, Alpine, etc. I see no reason to keep sync. The HU will pretty much preform all the Bluetooth, Nav and other functions that Sync does.

I agree, my pioneer's voice system is really good, and sounds just like the sync system. (I think it is also from microsoft, but not called sync)

Here is my custom install. You might even notice to the left of the nav unit (where the brake controller usually goes) I installed 3 switches. one controls the head rest monitors, the middle one does my radar detector, and the right one controls my dual 8 inch hellas behind my billet grille
