X2. I never worked on my 03 as much as I do on this one. Ford did a great job and I'm proud of my pickup so I'll put even more work nto it because of that

Thanx for the comments guys. I know you both have been following this very time stretched thread.

But it was definately worth it for me. Maybe I will do my rear seats... Just gotta build up my nerve to do it, now that i know what is involved...

Brought me a set too. Its the same kit that Fordever used.

Santa didn't include any instructions though. Its a good thing there's a write-up here! Now I need to decide where to put the switches.

Are there any tips for cutting the heated pads? Anything to watch out for?

After 10 months of ownership I had a set installed at the local glass/upholstery shop a month ago and wouldn't be without heated seats again. Too bad Ford didn't make them standard equipment.

After reading my instructions, I think the write up on here is much better. The instructions are VERY generic, and basic. From what I have gathered, you can cut the pads anywhere without affecting the performance, so even if you had to cut multiple holes you would be ok.

I am curious though about the amperage draw.... the instructions said to wire them into a circuit capable of providing a constant 10 amps..... so, is that 10 amps total, or per seat?

I would assume it is 10 amps total, and wiring into the heated seat circuit at the fuse panel would be sufficient (I still have to verify that circuit in my fuse box though)

There are only certain places you can cut because of the heater elements. Can't remember as I threw away my instructions after I finished

Had mine put in two weeks ago, can't live without them. It made a 14 hour drive a piece of cake.
