Default Advice!

Hey folks..looking for advice, specifically for those that have done what I'm considering...I have a 11 XLT Eco that has been prob free and I have it looking pretty good...problem, I don't like the white as much as I thought I would and I don't like the 6 cycl as much either. I'm on the hunt for a nice 5.0 fx4. Guys, am I crazy for wanting to get out if the ecoboost and into a 5.0? I just don't have as much fun waiting on turbo lag and am not a fan if the v6 sound. Suggestions talk me in or out of trading.

A tune will help lag. Otherwise why downgrade? The 5.0 is a good engine but it's lower on the scale than the 5.0... So why the change? You will miss the power.

The worst thing in the world to do with a vehicle is live with one you are not satisfied with.

Trade or you will be miserable.

I agree get what you want or you'll never be happy with your truck

I dunno I came out of a 5.7 tundra and I just miss the snappy v-8 feel. I'm hoping someone has done what I've done and can tell me how they like it. 5.0s are surprisingly harder to find around me than ecos. Test driving a few next week.

Yeah man, if you aren't happy, trade it! Plus you'll be going to an FX4 which is always nice! You sound like you've already talked yourself into getting the 5.0, and you got nobody to please but yourself so go for it!!

Gotta make yourself happy man. I love my Eco, but it's tuned with cai, and exhaust. I do a lot of towing though. I do miss the V8 growl, and the "instant" power of the v8, but for me, the Eco is a better choice. It's all in what you want man.

A tune will give you that punchy feeling.....It did wonders on my 3.7l ( it even made my engine sound better) and you can add leather seat skins and other cheap mods to make your truck feel new again......just my 2 cents

I love the 5.0 v8. It is a cheaper option than the ecoboost, but it does make good sounds when you hit the accelerator. Go get what you want. I looked long and hard for an xlt 4wd 5.0 supercrew in white with the 6.5 ft bed. Finally found one at a good price and never looked back.
