Adding Reverse Lights
Hey guys I am going to add some reverse lights to my trailer hitch. I am going to use hids in a fog light housing. The hids are really used for atvs. They are 35 watts. I am going to put a 4 way trailer plug on the end and plug it right into my trailer wiring socket. Am I going to do any damage by running 35 watts to the trailer plug? Thanks
You shouldn't really have to worry too much about the wiring.
You are aware that HIDs take a few moments to warm up, right? I know if it were me I'd be annoyed waiting for my lights to warm up before I could back up. I've got HID heads and 55w halogen off road lights on the back bumper
