Default Adding Posi

Getting a 14 Screw Lariat 4x2 and it has a standard axle, so wanting to swap it for a Posi. Anyone know what axle is back there so i can look up the part? It comes with a 3.15 R&P and once I put some miles on it to see what the MPG is, I may or may not swap them to a higher one, maybe 3.55.

Does anyone know how adding some sort of locker to the rear will effect the truck?

I have a 14 with out a factory locker, looking to add one to the rear. Probably a posi or limited slip setup. Will adding this effect MPG and every day handling of the truck?

Big difference between a limited slip/ posi and a locker. Rear end is a sterling 9.75.

If u go with a limited slip or a auto locker you shouldn't notice it at all. If you go to a spool then you'll go through tires faster and it may have a slight affect on mpg but very small. For every day use go with a true trac limited slip
