I recently did the 4d tech sync 3 upgrade 4 to 8 inch screen and now I have auto ac and the **** for dual zone climate. Obviously the dual zone
doesn’t work since it didn’t come with it from the factory but has anyone done this swap before, I don’t mind the work I just hate having things in my truck that don’t work

 

I actually asked the guy who sells the synctech upgrade this exact question. He said the only way to do it is to pull the dash and replace the entire HVAC box and the dash harness. Plus it would have to be enabled in the BCM.
In other words, not impossible. But very labor intensive and unless you have a donor truck, most likely very cost prohibitive.

 

Makes sense, it's a different box layout and one more door to need wiring to it. Plus, the ducts must be a little different.
