Adding climate control
I just traded in a 2014 explorer XLT with myford touch and it did indeed have temperature input capabilities (so I'm feeling a little lost with it!).
That bezel/radio combo is badass! A little outside my budget though. Enjoy!

All F150s 2011 and up have Auto Climate Control. The only difference between lower trims and upper trims is the dual climate control, heated/cooled seats, and a digital display.
On the lower trims the hot cold **** functions as the temperature selection. The AC or Heater will come on and off when that selected temperature is reached and the blend door will re-position as needed, automatically.
If you don't mind the missing dual climate and heated/cooled seats, you can upgraded to Ford My Touch and have it work. Cost is about $1,000 in parts.
If you are looking to add dual climate, and heated/cooled seats, then you will need to add a whole new air box, front seats and a whole cab wiring harness. You are looking at about $5,000 more for parts.
All in all, it might be cheaper to upgrade to a used FX4 luxury package or Lariat than to do it yourself.

my 2009 fx4 dual climate control module is broken.
can I put the dual climate control module from a 2011 fx4 dual climate control module in my 2009??? With a calibration
Just an FYI, you replied to a post that is SEVERAL years old, and doesn't really apply to your situation. You would be much better off to create your own new post instead of waiting for a "quick reply" on this post
