Ride wasn't much different, except that my shocks with all three leaves felt underdamped.
Slightly bouncy.

Now that I am back to 2 I am happier with them.

I installed the 998lb springs because I have a constant 300lbs + of weight with my Leer topper. I have not removed the spacer like Gus did. I got about 1.75in of lift. I have not noticed a change in the ride much at all. I have loaded up the bed twice with fishing/camping gear and coolers of beer and food, while once towing the driftboat, and it rode really well. I am satisfied.

The only issue I still can't figure out is why the steering wheel now maintains a slight right cant/turn. The truck isn't pulling at all and tracks straight, so I am not worried/concerned about addressing it immediately. I have contemplated loosening up the u-bolts and seeing if I can reposition/align the packs better, but they appear to be straight and have been really busy. I don't know if the thinner alignment bolts supplied with the AAL kits are the culprit. Unfortunately the stock bolts are not long enough to reuse. If they are, I wonder if Ford makes longer ones, or if the ones in a super duty are of the same width and long enough to work, or if I just got an alignment would it return to normal?

That's great Gus, thanks. Did they do a 4wheel alignment, or just the front?

I too am researching tires as my stocks wear down, which isn't fast enough. They're terrible and I may have to bite the bullet and buy this fall so I have good rubber before hunting season. I have narrowed it down to Goodyear Duratracs, General Grabber AT2, and the Cooper Discoverer ST Max in the 275/70r18 size range.

I'm running the Cooper Discoverer STTs. Same tread pattern as the ST Max, but a softer compound. They are pretty awesome, best tires I've ever had in snow / mud / Rocks I've ever had, and after 20,000 miles they still look like I could go another 20-30k miles. Only on glare ice are they left a little wanting, but no worse than the stock tires, and still better than the wifes all-season tires on her sedan. I love these tires, Way better than the BFG A/T KO I had, or the BFG M/T I had on previous trucks.

I had a set of cooper discoverer m+s and they were the best tires I've ever had.

I studded them, amazing in winter.

Definitely a buy for my new truck this winter as well.

I'm not sure about a 4 wheel alignment. I got in to an accident and the body shop aligned it. So whether that means 2 or 4 wheel I don't know. Goes straight though!

I'm thinking about the 1242# leafs.
They say that they are "long, full size add a leaf". can I assume that they reach from eye to eye on the stock leafs?

Yes. Mine are just short of the mounting bolt eyes.

I'm sure there is zero reason why doing an AAL would void any part of the factory warranty, RIGHT?
