Is it possible to add the factory trailer brake controller to a non equipped truck? 2011 5.0-i would like to add the factory unit and have it function through the dash display. Thanks for any input!

If you the tow package already installed you should be able too. Just pull out the coin holder and it bolts right in with 2 screws, you should see a harness either connected to the coin holder or taped under the steering column. Install the two fuses but a trip to the dealer is necessary to activate the system. Installed mine in my 2010, took about 15 mins. Just need to get it down to the dealer to get it programmed. I've been waiting for an oil change to see if i can get it down for free or at least cheaper.
