I can't feel my compressor turn on/off, and can't hear it do it either when normally driving around.

All bets are off if I'm idling in my carport because of how quiet the engine is when not rev'd up, and any sound reverberates due to being semi-closed-in.

I will just reside myself to feeling like I'm one of the few "lucky ones" who does not have A/C issues. Maybe Ford knows that us "Crazy Cajuns" would be too much to handle if our A/C didn't work properly, right RNLCOMP?

Thanks, you will know when they come on. Mine start about 30-45 seconds after starting the truck and then cycle randomly. Started this about a week ago and never heard them before more than 2-3 times since getting last Nov 2013.

The evap temp sensor would drop to 32 and the pcm would command the comp off and when evap temp climbed up to 37 it would command the comp back on.

Seems to me it would be easy to pinpoint a malfunctioning sensor with all the live data the tech's have at arms length, that is if they know how and line pressures are normal.

Ford's warranty labor time standards forced a lot of tech's to quit, start their own shop or get a better paying job, I am on that list.

Sorry to hear that, hopefully you landed much better!

I assume this is just the computer diagnostic's that they use for all issues? Sounds like they could have determined quite a bit about mine had they done it? and reported their finding to me for added assurance?

I am going to include this inquiry to the GM next week when I take the time to write about my vehicles problem and experience.

Sounding more and more like a road trip and a steak dinner trip for me!

You could say that, I work for the largest fleet in the country.gov
My old dealer wanted me to stay but knew why I was leaving and didn't blame me a bit, I gave them 2 weeks notice and trained one of the other guys the most basic electronic problems we were usually swamped with and they gave me a going away party and a permanent doors open should I decide to go back

Correct the diag tool goes all the way back to 96 but from 13> I had to get the latest greatest, still have my other scan tool that is good from 96-2010 that I will likely sell.

Whether your dealer has a tech that knows how to use that tool is another story, and even then sometimes it takes a keen eye to detect a problem child sensor that's not setting a code.

Filet Mignon smothered in onions and shroons, twice baked tater, Texas toast and a tall ice cold Heineken draft. Sounds good to me LOL.

TGIFridays down here makes a killer steak.

In all seriousness there have been lots of head scratchers and hair pullers in my stall over the years, sometimes and it's rare, Ford has one even their engineer's can't figure out and usually wind up as buy backs.

Since my truck is what I would consider normal I have a base line of what another system should look like, that's a huge advantage in diag.

I do a little electronic and other work at home from time to time. Pretty much anything except engine/trans/differential replacement and some suspension work due to the nature of the lifting required. I pretty much just stick to electrical, electronic, a/c, and light stuff that I can turn around swiftly.

The other thing I offer is a no charge policy if I can't find the problem.

Well, hopefully I don't run into ANY issues, but if any of those come up and are not a warranty type item, then I'll be getting in contact w/ you, no doubt.

That's because you're one of the good guys . However, even if a situation like that came up, I wouldn't leave you empty handed for your effort. I seem to recall you mentioning something about a filet smothered in onions & shrooms, and a cold Heineken ... I think I could swing that for the effort, and I do grill a mean steak ...
