I did the foam wrap thing as well but didn't notice any improvement. What about insulating the can thingy right at the compressor where the hose attaches? I might try that as well.

My 13 XLT SC will freeze you if you leave it on high. Today it was 93 deg outside with high humidity and had to run the fan at 1/3 of the way up to not be to cold. My truck has a 4/15 build date. Maybe Ford updated the a/c in some of the newer 13s. I will get a thermometer to check vent temps to see just how cold it is.

I had a interesting thing happen the other day with the a/c on. I had to floor it to merge into traffic, roadway was going up hill so it revved up to about 6000rpm. As soon as it approached 4k the a/c went compeltely warm, no cold or cool air all the way till 6k when it shifted gears and the rpm's dropped below 4k. the a/c then came back to cool.
I have an apt tomorrow with ford to have them look at it.

and what sux now is the temp outside has dropped alot so its nowhere near as hot as it has been. I have a feeling they'll pull the same crap i've read, thats its "within specs".

I have a 13 XLT with a build date in April. The heat index was 101f in Chicago over the last week. My a/c blows out cold and I have to turn the fan speed all the way down to the 2nd to lowest setting because it's getting to chilly. I alway just keep the air circulation on with the a/c if that makes a difference.
