Default about time for tires

I have a '13 s crew 4x4. Came with Goodyear wrangler SRA's. Been happy with them, very quiet and have made it about 55k. Question is has anyone found something better? Michelin is my next choice but are so expensive. I see Bridgestone has one rated pretty well on tire rack but I haven't had much experience with the brand. Any opinions?

Firestone Destination A/T's are pretty well priced and run really well.

Cooper AT3. It wins all the magazine and media awards, it's made in USA, it's priced right, and they have a mileage warranty in the P rated sizes which is what our trucks come with.

Yes, people have found better. Many tire posts, including this one where I listed Consumer Reports ratings. https://www.f150forum.com/f2/tire-ra...0/#post3732330

What tire you get depends on your usage. Highway? Offroad? Snow/ice?

If you type into Google site:www.f150forum.com tires you will get 148,000 results. Narrow it down by adding keywords and you'll find some recent posts. Most dislike the SRAs. Remember that anecdotal comments from people, often without context, shouldn't lead you to a nearly $1,000 purchase without considering factual scientific information like that from Consumer Reports. Tire sites like TireRack.com and DiscountTire.com would give you consumer ratings that also aren't scientific, but help you compare features.

Few people have driven different tires in the same conditions to truly compare performance, wear, etc.

I replaced by SRAs at 33k with Cooper AT3s. No complaints from them other than not being that great in the snow after they got a little age on them. I ran those for nearly 40k miles and replaced them with BFG KO2s. If these wear halfway decent I will never own another brand of tire. These look awesome, are as quiet as any highway tire I have been on, and go like a mother in the snow. Check them out- I don't see how anyone could be disappointed with them. My $.02

I got a set of 35 inch Falken Wildpeak ATs. GREAT tire. I've had them on almost a year and they still look new. No noise at all and very smooth ride.

Did you happen to look at weights when comparing other tires? I was looking at the 315/70R17, and most A/T tires come in around 65 lbs. However, from what I could find, the Wildpeaks are listed at 78 lbs.

I did. The size I have (35/12.5R17) came out to 74 lbs each.

Yes the Falkens are very heavy. I ran them briefly in 285/75-16 and they killed my mileage.
