Default Which is it?

I know Ford builds a 5.4L and a 4.6L V-8 engine and i keep seeing posts that describe a 5L engine. Are you fellas who post up 5L referring to the 4.6L engine or is there a 5L engine in the F-150's now?

Trav-ler - I know Ford builds a 5.4L and a 4.6L V-8 engine ...
Actually there are 3 versions of the 5.4L (2V, 3V, and 4V ... the 4V was never in the F-150s - Cobra, Ford GT, Navigator, and Shelby GT500) and 3 versions of the the 4.6L (2V, 3V, and 4V ... the 4V was never in the F-150s - Cobra, Lincoln Mark VIII, Marauder, and Mustang(s)).

Don't forget the 6.2L V8.

Thanks for the clarification and the links. The 5L has great spec's. Is it more reliable than the 5.4L 3 valve with cam phasers?
