Default 6" Lift with 34" Tires? Silly?

Long story short.. After my lift went missing, and fighting with that, I have decided to pay a few bucks extra and deal local. I called a local shop and requested the 4" Rough Country that I had orginally ordered... They of course could do it, but said they actually had a sale and could do the 6" Zone for $175 cheaper..

Which this sounds appealing, but my concern is the BRAND NEW tires I just bought. Which are 305/55/R20 so a 33.5" tire. I am afraid these might look silly and with them being new I dont really want to buy new tires...

What would you do, would they 6" look silly?

I personally don't think it would look bad. But my preference would be a 4". IMO a 6 doesn't look as good on a 150 as a 4. In the end it's going to be your truck, so if you like it... That's all that matters...

I vote no. I have that size with a 2.5" leveling kit and I think a bigger tire would look better on mine. They are definitely better than stock but I'd either sell the ones you have or wait til you need new tires.

I think it would look a little silly, when i had my 6' lift on my old truck i had 35's and was wanting to run 37's but couldnt budge myself to make the move. so short story i wouldnt do it personally, but then again its your truck and you would be able to flex it out completely.

IMHO, you need more than a 33.5" tire for anything more than a level.

If you like the 6inch better i would say it would be silly to let only the tires hold you back from getting it. you can always sell the tires or save tehm for emegency spares or put them on a winter set of wheels if you do that. my point is tires altough sometimes expensive are any easy change out. i could live with them for a 1 month or 2 while i saved money for bigger ones. My .02, good luck

He has a valid point. If you DO like the 6" look, and tires could be in the near future budget, I'd do the 6". Besides... " go big or go home".

if you're going to stick with the tires you have you'll need to go wide to make it look proportional IMO
