Where might one find a 6 bar grille other than a junkyard? I think they were on the 2011...maybe 2012? Will it fit a 2013? Would like the flat black not chrome or black chrome.
Thanks.

For OEM grills, only place I know of is junkyard or classifieds (here on the forum, CL, ebay, facebook, etc). The 1st pic (red truck) was used only on 2011 and 2012 FX trucks (both FX4 and FX2). I believe it's more dark gray than black. If you look at pics of black FX4s vs Sterling Gray you'll see what I mean. There was also a different 6 bar grill with smaller bars that was used on the 2014 STX (blue truck below)

The 6-bar, matte black grille was available on the following .....
.
2010 FX2 Sport
2011 FX2 and FX4
2012 FX2 and FX4
2014 STX
* All are plug-and-play for any gen'12 F-150 (2009-2014)
And unless you get lucky with a used, the surround will have to be PTM (Paint(ed) To Match).
.
Beware, the grills that have the body-colored surround with a black/grey/chrome insert are two pieces that snap together. The painted grill surround itself is VERY flimsy once removed from the center grill section, and it is tricky to remove the center section without breaking off the mounting tabs.
I had my candy red grill surround repainted.
Apparently the plastic/ non-metal parts that are body-colored pieces are painted/ colored by the vendor before they are sent to the Ford assembly plant, where they are mated to the painted bodies.
My truck's grill surround, door mirror "skullcaps", outside door handles/ surrounds and tailgate handle/ surround all had noticeably non-matching paint when brand new...and all those parts started fading much faster than the sheetmetal body paint. The grill surround got so bad I repainted it. The driver door handle is looking kind of shabby now too.
