Default Timing cover

I am new to this forum because I have never had a issue with my truck. I have a 2011 f150 with the 5.0. It’s got 188000 miles on it. Last week I went to hook up my trailer and when I fired it up the idler pulley broke off the timing cover. Has anyone ever had this issue? If you have or if you can help I need a good resource to tell me how to fix it. Also if I’m getting that deep into it what else should I replace?

Yeah that's going to require complete engine front cover replacement. With your mileage if you plan to keep it for a while it would be foolish to not replace the timing chains as well as the VCT solenoids etc. None of which are user serviceable unless you have all the specialty tools and knowledge to use them.

Locate a pro in your area.
