I was just using these numbers. Potential weight with trailer loaded. That's all.
"Schrod, do you think you'll be able to stay withing your payload / GVWR with that Platinum? What does you sticker say? With an empty tongue weight of over 900 lbs, you will likely see 1,200 or more lbs of real tongue weight, right?"

Well now, I just checked their website and according to the specs listed there that the TW is only 865. The brochure listed it as 945 so maybe the brochure is wrong. I hope so as it has been printed for a while and the website should be current (maybe).

Just a word of advise, never trust the brochure for trailer weight. Especially pin or tongue weight, never.

Here is a picture of my setup. Just finished a 3600KM trip through very hilly terrain (north shore of Lake Superior, Sault Saint Marie - Thunder Bay Ontario) and the truck did amazing!!!

I have seen many people pulling huge 5th wheels with F150 and obviously yours works well and the back end of the truck does not even seem to sag at all. I wish Ford would make the F150 payload numbers just a bit higher so I'd feel OK with getting the same setup you have. I am a bit paranoid with published payload numbers and respecting them. It just seems like a waste of money to get the F250 vs the F150 when it does the job just as well.

Also like your canoe rack.
Oops, just saw your scenery pic and the angle shows a Winegard.

This is a 1350 pin weight(empty) 5th wheel. It is marketed for 1/2 ton trucks but strictly speaking is not within the payload numbers for a crewcab 4x4 unless the high payload option is now available on crew cabs???

Now having said all that I would not recommend going any larger as physics start to kick in. Also if I was towing all the time I would have a larger truck but since I tow a couple weeks a year and drive the truck as my main transportation the other 50 week this works out perfectly.
