50" LED light bar install
That's understandable, I don't want to tell you not to do it because it is your truck but when I get my lightbar Im going with a light bar mount. No drilling and no messing with things...

I should of gone that route. I really like the style of this mount. I think with a little regular maintenance and making sure the silicone is holding up, it'll be fine.
Like you said maintenance is key, especially if you plan on selling the truck later down the road

As for the bumper I already have the 38"going in there. That install I'm not near as worried about. Like I said earlier, I'm just not a fan of wiring. I think I made out like a bandit on it too but I may be wrong. Paid $200 for it off eBay. I get it and it says Anzo on it. I look it up and these retail over $700! I think someone goofed up big time!
Case in point...it looks just like this
AnzoUSA 881029 38" 3W LED Off-Road Light https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BG9234K..._luJRub0VZXCK0
I would use a thin piece of rubber, like off a bailer belt.

At All Out Offroad in Pearland now and they are finishing up the install.
I was thinking earlier about more ways to make sure it doesn't leak. What about taping off the area around the bolts and bracket and spraying it with a bedliner material?

It would work but I dont think it would look good. Getting under the bracket and sealing between the bracket, roof and the holes is what needs to be done.

Sounds like it was a pain in the *** though, having to go back in repeatedly.
