Alright, to deepen the discussion, which tunes? Plan on doing the 3 tune package and doing both 85 & 87 Perf/Tow and the 91 performance. (They don't have 93 octane around where I live that I know) Economy ones aren't why I'm buying a tuner anyhow... Any other suggestions?

X4 here and I have 87,89, and 93 perf/tow tunes. I wish I didn't go with the 89 and had gone with 87 and 93 perf/tow then 93 race tune only because I never use 89 as I don't think there will be as much of a gain difference. I only use 87 or 93, currently only 87 since it's winter and I burn more fuel.

If you want to be able to monitor the truck (see pids like boost, air fuel, spark, temps etc) then get the LWTS as its more suited for that. If you just want to plug it in, tune the truck and put it away most of the time, then go for the x4.

If your truck doesnt already have a backup camera, the LWTS has a video port that allows you to use the screen like one. So thats also a little perk.

I just bought a SCT itsx since I have an iPhone with me all the time. I have the 5* 87 perf/tow installed and it makes the truck more responsive. To me it doesn't feel like a major Hp increase just throttle response is much better and I am happy with the decision.

Besides the camera part, you can do all that stuff with the x4 too. Mine is plugged in and mounted when I'm driving and I monitor spark advance, knock, boost in psi, transmission gears, intake temps, coolant temps... all at the same time on my screen.

This is true. I should have pointed that out. The LWTS does have a larger screen and fits a little better on the window without wasting space, but the X4 is fully capable of monitoring like you mentioned.
