I'm going to put my tin-foil hat on here for a moment. Could it be there is an intentional run up in fuel prices happening in the months before the presidential election to ensure Obama doesn't win re-election? High gas prices this summer could guarantee a GOP win.

I agree, let's talk about F-150s again.

Isn't this a 2009 to present forum. Gas has been this way for the last 3 years. Everyone new the gas mileage of what they were buying. Quit bitching and enjoy the sweet ride. If you want can't afford your gas bill, you probably can't afford your truck, sell it to someone who will enjoy it.

I love how a lot of people are blaming Obama on high gas prices. In July 2008 I drove from WI to Niagara Falls Canada. Gas was $4.00 a gallon. I paid $4.20 a gallon in upper Michigan by the Mackinaw bridge. Gas has never been that high since. Obama didn't take office until January 2009. Please explain to me how this is Obama's fault?
It's also ironic that Chevron had an oil tanker named the Condoleezza Rice. George Bush's secretary of state. Hmmm???

I hate to start a thread on this, so since this topic is volatile, and lots of you are watching (heh heh heh), I have a question about Oxford White's color code.

My 2012's door jamb says the code is "WB". Other sites I'm perusing says it's YZ or Z1. I ordered body side molding, using their Ford template for Oxford White. Then I noticed the door jam code. Hmmm....

Anyone with a 2012 Oxford White - if you wouldn't mind running out and checking your label, I'd appreciate it.

Then you (and the others) can continue with the debate at hand.

Well after reading all this I've learned that everything controls the price of gas and it is so un predictable!
Back to simple economics: if you don't like the price of gas or it's apparent ability to be so easily moved up or down in price by what ever whoever, buy a smaller car, or better yet, something that doesn't use gas at all. Clydesdale horse anyone?

Diesel here in Canada is about the same as gas and sometimes more.

So obama (not Bush) denying the keystone pipeline permit and drilling permits in Alaska and the Gulf, along with now attacking the fraccing operations in Texas, Arkansas and now up here in North Dakota has absolutely nothing to do with the current rise in the price of oil that is being discussed in this thread? Please explain this to the rest of us.

Funny how the liberals blamed Bush/Big Oil for 8 years, yet when oil prices have DOUBLED from Dec 2009 until today - and he BRAGGED that prices would "necessarily skyrocket", those same liberals defend Obama today.

Diesel is more expensive here in the states. Which is one if the reasons why Ford come out with the ecoboost engine instead of the diesel engine. One of the reasons why I bought my 5.0. I would love to have a diesel F-150 though! It's all a bunch of political bs here in the states that needs to go bye bye....
