Default 5.0 milage

Went on a trip to missouri from Minnesota (about 450 miles) and was averaging 18.1 to 17.9. Just wondering if anyone else has better or worse stories?

400ish mile trip to Emmitsburg, MD for me and got 19.2 mpg. Almost all my driving is small town/city and I average 12.6-12.8 mpg. 5.0 with 3.55 gears.

That's pretty good I was just thinking I could of gotten better since the trip was all highway but I suppose my truck only has 6000 miles on it. Motor is still pretty tight I would guess. Oh and I have 3.55 ls gears too.

I just went on a small trip last week with my 2012 Screw 5.0 XLT, put on 520 miles and averaged 19.8. My speed varied between 55-75 mph with a small amount of city driving. Needless to say I was pretty darn happy.

Not really but it was very shortly after I bought the truck so I probably babied it a bit more than I would now.

11 fx4 stock 15k miles avg over those miles is 12.2. i like the truck but hate the mileage. test drove a gmc 2500hd the other day. guess if my mileage is going to suck i just as well have a real truck. avg 16.2 with my 5.4 same driving over 22k miles.
