Default 5.0 Coolant Leak - T connector

Looks like I've got the same/similar leak with that dang T connector.

Here's what it looks like running... You can see the drips in the first 5 seconds.

I saw the other thread elsewhere about it but I think mine is leaking at the other side.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/BRAND-NEW-OEM-THERMOSTAT-HOUSING-T-CONNECTOR-2011-2013-FORD-F-150-MUSTANG-/331485379210?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4d2e117a8a&vxp=mtr

In this picture, it would be off the left side of the highlighted yellow portion based on what I've seen. And I see no gasket listed. Am I stuck buying the whole assembly?

Thoughts?

Mine leaked between T connector and hose, and T connector and water pump. Ford sells a new O-ring for the hose side, but the O-ring for water pump is part of the $100 (Canada) T connector. The O-ring I used was part # 8590 on the diagram on this page. (Ignore the hose that it links too, that is just only place I can find that exploded view of the cooling system)

I don't know the actual part # for the O-ring, but it was $9 at ford here in Canada.

I've got the same leak right now.

Did you replace the T connector? hose? or just the o ring?

So I ended up having our family mechanic take a look because the part number for the O ring alone was very obviously wrong when I got it. Unfortunately, my mechanic had the same issue at first. He ordered:
The whole T connector,
The O ring
The Upper Hose

And some how they were all wrong. So after they spent a bunch of time w/ the Ford parts person, they discovered that the part number was wrong in the books by a single digit. There's a different part number for the radiators that are "super cooling" from the tow package. Also, apparently to do the upper hose you have to cut the bracket off, and if you're not careful you can nick the radiator itself. (I got a brand new radiator out of it because of this mess up).

Long story short, I think you need the radiator hose, but keep in mind you may have to do some work to get the right one I wish my invoice had the correct itemized part number but alas it doesn't.

Thanks. Swapped the hose out today, looks like that took care of it.

I took the hose with me just incase but they got me the right part.

Glad to hear it. Smart plan on your part.
