Hello guys...

This is my first 4x4 truck and was wondering if its normal that when I engage the 4x4 high that I can hear a slight whining noise from the drivetrain that goes a bit louder with speed??? It does not bother me but nevertheless it made me wonder...

Yes 4x4 is noisy lol. Not really loud though but louder then when in 2wd

 

Is the sound like this? Dealer told me it's called "drive line wind up". I had never heard this kind of sound in my previous truck which is why I was questioning it.

 

It is EXACTLY like in the video, it only doest it in 4wd mode but if you switch on the fly 4wd ----> 2wd it will still do it until you come to almost a complete stop then it fully disengages... looks like its normal then...
