Default 4x4 DECALS!

Has anyone applied new 4x4, FX4, STX etc decals to your bed yourself? If so, how did you go about removing the old decal, and applying the new one.. Thanks in advance

Just started at the corner and peeled the old one off slowly. Cleaned the area and used soapy water to lay the new vinyl.

X2.

The soapy water allows you to move the decal around without it sticking. Once you have it where you want it, use a rubber squeegee to start working the decal down. Pretty easy

Where did you get that decal? I'm wanting to do exact thing w my truck having the kind of ghosted decal rather than the silver standout it came with.

That's how I've always done it too.

When my buddy made my FX4 Tremor decals I had him install them and he did it dry. But he's a pro.

As far as removal, I've always used a hair dryer to heat them up and get them soft, and they peel right off.

Appreciate the advice, ordered new matte black FX4 decals and got them in yesterday for my sterling gray.. Going for the black on gray look to this truck and the red FX4 decal wasn't working

Moody blues. It's matte with a metallic overlay to match the tux black. Really happy with the way it came out.
