Default 4x issue

I am having an issue with what I think is completely locking into on 1 or more of my wheels to the 4 high range in icy conditions. Loud clunking noise was evident from the right front lol, so I returned to 2 wheel traction. Vac lines appear to be intact. Thoughts?

Check your IWE's to see if they hold vacuum or are just busted.

They tend to go a lot and make that noise. I already replaced both of mine.

Also check your IWE Solenoid near the brake booster, they tend to go as well.

Just a thought.

Thank you. Much appreciated. I will get it checked out. Very expensive or time consuming? 👍

if it does not make the noise in 2wd the vacuum lines appear to be working. sounds to me like your iwe is not engaging all the way in 4wd.

could be a venting issue.. or the wheel ends are not moving properly.
