Default 4Lo ker-thunk

I've had my 2011 Lariat SCREW 4x4 for about a month now. Haven't had an opportunity to engage 4WD until yesterday.

Didn't have any problems (didn't expect to either), but there was a really nasty sounding thunk when engaging 4Lo (more specifically, when I shifted from Neutral back into Drive after the truck had shifted from 4Hi to 4Lo).

I'm guessing this is normal, but would like to hear some reassurance!

I realize that I'm probably just too old-school ... still prefer manual hubs and manual transmissions over all this newfangled automatic-everything stuff! Never the less ... I must say that I'm really WOW'ed by all the functions and features in my new Lariat.

Yes, it drove just fine (which is why I'm thinking it's normal). It just sounded awful, so I was just wondering ...
