4in Exhaust on Ecoboost
Ok this has nothing to do with sound or drone. My question is about performance and drivability. I have spent a lot of money on catbacks on previous vehicles. It has been my experience with naturally aspirated engines whatever gains I may have got when adding a catback with larger piping and free flow muffler were in a rpm range I rarely drove in. I actually felt I lost low end torque which in turn cost some mpg's. I don't want to do this on this truck. I'm thinking about a solo exhaust just don't want to hurt performance. Does this still apply with a turbocharged vehicle?

I'm running the 4" heartthrob catback with ZERO issues. Geared with a 3.55, and have noticed no low end losses. Also went ahead and put on an SCT 87 octance canned tune, the truck is now a blast to drive. Only problem is, is that with the tiny stock 265's, wheelhop is a major issues at WOT from a dig.

Afe 4"
I installed an AFE 4" Mach Force XP catback and did not notice any loss of power anywhere through the throttle. Also the sound is great especially when you get into the throttle some.

Search for this system here on this forum, there was a lot of talk about 3" VS 4" on the EB.. in a thread... the way I read it is that a little back pressure is good on a turbo engine...
