Default 4" exhaust tip question
I have a 2012 5.0L stock exhaust. This might sound stupid but would a 4 inch tip change the sound of the exhaust??

No. A tip is simply for aesthetics.

Not quite totally true. On a stock exhaust...no, there won't be a noticeable difference. On an after market exhaust an exhaust tip makes a big difference. The larger the tip...the more it deepens the tone. Also, if it's a straight edge tip or a rolled edge top makes a difference also. I just changed my tip from a 4" straight edge tip to a 5" rolled edge tip...difference was very significant!
