Default 3v to 4v

I have a 2009 F150 and the 5.4 just kicked the bucket. I have access to 4v out of a navigator that is complete. Is there anything necessary for that swap other than the pcm?

I think you would want parts access to the Navigator, so you could get all the connectors, etc.

The questions you need to answer though, are these -

Do you love the truck?

Are you keeping it a while?

What kind of shape is it in?

Because this swap is going to be big bucks, rebuilding and swapping in that 4v.

It wouldn't make sense to take a truck that you still owe $4k on, spend another $5k upgrading the motor, if you didn't intend to run the wheels off of it.

If you do it, keep us posted, I don't remember anybody else doing this on a '09.

The 4v is complete and runs strong so no rebuild is necessary. I was just curious about the pcm

Sorry I don't have any technical help to offer, But I too would like to know if it's a drop-in with a PCM swap.
