Angry 3rd brake light leaking into cab?

So i was down in Greer visiting my parents and a nasty little thunderstorm rolled through...with hail and the whole nine yards. well here in the south late afternoon thunderstorms are not uncommon so i didn't think too much about it. I had left my phone charging in the truck and when i went to get it out before dinner i noticed water running all down my back glass and into the seats. Got the truck into their garage and realized that the third brake light had been taking in water and was getting into the cab up above the headliner and running down the window. I just washed my truck yesterday and had no problems whatsoever with leaks. Just wondering but has anybody else had this problem?

Had the same problem, called the dealer and he knew what the problem was. Ordered new third brake light, problem solved.

Yup, hate to say it, but it is a fairly common problem. Like Nutty, I haven't had it yet. Fortunatley, it is easily fixed by the dealer.

my bro had this happen on his 09 King Ranch, messed up the leather on the back seats too. dealer took care of it, new third brake light, new back seats, and i think new headliner (although I'm not completely sure about that one).

had the same leak in my 2009 F150 Screw .. dealer claimed they replaced the gasket due to a 'deformed seal' - all I see is that they calked the heck outa the thing - anyway no more leak.

Got it back from the dealer today and they had found 3 leaks. 2 in the sunroof and the one in the rear. thank god for warranty or i'd be paying out the *** and not a happy camper. got the problem fixed though so that's all that matters at this point.
