Just left dealership. I'm SOL. I was told they weren't accepting any old dog dinosaurs. Guess I'm stuck with her. Oh well, at least I get to listen her sing to me a litte longer.

Yes, all silliness and biased opinions aside, we do love our trucks. I will consider the Eco when it's time to replace my '13. Who knows what will be offered by then though. Plan on keeping this one 7-8 years at least.

You ARE kidding, right? Towing with an engine where the torque curve is 90% all in at 1,900 rpm, or waiting until 4,750 rpm makes all the difference in the world in how an engine tows. Yes, the 5.0 will tow your 10,000 pounds up that hill, but the EB will do it a gear or two lower and 2,000 rpm less. Listening to my old 5.4 labor at 4,000 rpm vs. having the EB makes all the difference in comfort, and audible ease. And yes, I know that the 5.0 sounds great at high rpm's....or at least better than the 5.4...... But give me 2,900 rpm in 4th gear at 60 mpg up a 7% grade towing 8,000 pounds.....all day long. There is not another spark ignition engine in the truck market that can come close to doing this.
It'd be sweet if they made the new 5.0 with the option that the corvette has. The track mode and street mode. Flick of a switch and the exhaust sounds like a true straight pole

Comeon... Tell us the truth... They were sold out, 'cause they are that sought after.. Am I right?

These threads are amusing, I have driven both. I tow regularly so I know which engine is for me.

Indifferent
These threads can be summed up as people being people. What I find amusing are the times when people get emotional about their trucks/purchases. What's the point of all this back and forth from BOTH sides of FORD F150 owners if it's the same old regurgitated information which causes more trouble than it's ever worth?
Just my opinion and without further ado, let the petty battle rage on.
