285/60/20 too skinny?
I currently have 305/55/20 duratracs on my truck ( 2.5 levelling and 3" blocks and bushwacker fender flares) its time for new tires but I'm selling my truck in the next couple years. I'm looking at the 285/60/20 duratracs and then I can put them on my new truck which will be stock.
Anybody have pics of a stock offset rim with levelling kit with 285's and fender flares?
Thanks

I'd think they would look good, but then again I prefer skinner tires as they don't effect mileage as much, track grooved concrete roads better, and easier to keep them from sticking out and tossing road salt/slush all over the place in the winter.

Skinny tires also work better in mud/snow/ ice actually as well. They increase the PSI of the contact area so your more likely to cut through the crap and get to some traction vs wide tires that you tend to float on top of stuff with.

The 295's is actually the size I want, but I know the diratracs are great in the winter, that's why I want them, but they only come in 285 and then 305..

Literally just replaced my 305 Nitto trail grapplers yesterday with 285/65r20 bfg a/ts and at first it was weird because they are definitely narrower but the height of them looks great and they ride a lot better to me. Quiet and smooth.

Can you snap some pics please? Did you have your trail grapplers on ice at all?
