Default 265/70/18???

I have the stock GY 275/65/18 SRA tires on my truck now and they have to be replaced before winter. Are any of you guys running the 265 tire size as opposed to the factory size? Any pics??? On the tire size charts it looks like the 265s are 1/2" taller but 1/2" narrower? I just dont know how it would look. Thanks!

Not exactly what you're looking for but I just put 275/70-18s on this week. Same width but about an 1" taller.

I've seen this size on a super crew with the Michelin ms2 tire. It looks marginally taller on the side profile view than stock. With that size you can stay with a P rated tire if that interests you.

I don't have pictures because the truck is not mine but really doesn't look much different than the stock size.

The 275/70/18 size looks much better but I believe all you'll find in that size are LT tires which will result in a firmer ride.

And to edit the above, the size I saw in ms2 was 265/70/18

Thanks guys, Im gonna start doing research!

I have 31000 on the factory tires. For where I drive I am pretty pleased with them. Lots of hilly, curvy terrain with a few gravel roads thrown in. I rotated every 7k miles. Maybe if I would have rotated at 5k I could have gotten more, who knows. I kind of want to go to an AT tire but we'll see.

Thanks again!

Default 255/70/18 Bridgestone Dueler AT

I went with a 70 series side wall and a little narrower tire at 30K when one tire suffered a belt separation. The original set would have made it through the summer if not for tire failure.

Replaced Goodyear Wrangler 265's with four 255/70/18 Bridgestone Dueler AT on my truck. They match the stock diameter with nearly the same number of rotations/mile and nearly the same load rating.

More aggressive and a little narrower for better off road ground pressure, yet still quiet on pavement. And being light they haven't had a negative impact on fuel economy.

Heavier tires should stand up to more abuse than these will. But they are fine for my use.
