255/65r17 alternative
Ok, love my 2010 XLT 5.4 screw short bed.
My plan has been to put 20x10 wheels with 305/50r20's. With a nice 2 inch lift. Love that look!!!
Well change of plans. My POS wife had an affair and we are divorcing. That is for another forum.
My factory Michelins 255/65r17's are getting bad.
I absolutely hate the look of these tires. They look like they belong on a factory 1984 Cadillac Fleetwood.
What is a good, wide, beefy, tough looking size for my stock 17's.
My truck is only 2x4. I don't care for a high profile tall tire. More wide and not so "car tire" looking.

I was thinking 285/70r17. Better yet, I like the 305/65r17's but I worry about fitment. Any thoughts? Will they work on wheels and stock height. I want a Two in level. Anyone running these tires?

I ended up getting Kelly Safari 265/65r17's.
They have a nice open tread. They look like the belong on a truck, but very streetable.
They are not as big as I would like, but they sure look better than those ugly 255's, I also got them at a great deal.
