While Ford maybe using the funky trapezoidal grille as their signature the size of the grille as a percentage of the front area is way to large for me. it looks like a large mouth bass. I own a 13 C-MAX and a '13 Taurus and neither of this cars have such a huge, ugly shaped opening. A smaller opening would be much better, but coupled with the Fusion type lights I see a Fustang, a glorified ricer in a few years when Ford drops the 5.0. Others may love the looks and others may marvel that it now is an international car. To me the Mustang and what it stood for has left the Ford line-up. You now have a Fustang or Musion to enjoy. I left Ford when they brought out the Windstar for the Dodge Caravan. Since Ford has left the American Pony Car market for an international market I will go else where again. My concern now is that Ford will mess up the small F-Series market and make the F150 a small F250 instead of bringing out a F100 that would fit my needs as well as most of the other suburban owners I know. Maybe Ford will redesign he F-Series segment to be an international vehicle as well, complete with the large mouth bass grille.

Can't blame ford really. Just doing what they think is best for business. Its really a pretty badass looking car in my opinion. I mean a 2 door v8 RWD fusion sounds badass. Ford has always parts from other platforms for the mustang to keep down costs.

Your take on the styling is your personal opinion, plain and simple.
The problem with bringing out an F100/Ranger is that the cost for another vehicle line is too great to recoup from the small gain in sales and the loss of sales in the F150, their most profitable vehicle. Not to mention that full sizes today get nearly the same mileage with more capabilities. The mid-size market is slowly fading away, like it or not.

Hmm, first complains that Ford is turning the Mustang into a ricer, and then complains that Ford is not making the F-series small enough. Wha?
You can get a new F-150 STX SCab 3.7L for slightly more than what a new Scab Ranger with the same options. Not only does it have more power and capabilities, but it also gets a lot better fuel economy than the Rangers did. Getting a lot less power, capabilities, room, and fuel economy just to save a few grand on initial cost just doesn't make sense for most buyers. Hence the reason why it was fazed out.
