Im liking it. Curious to see some performance #'s before i get 2 interested though.

i'm sure the "sport appearance package" would be limited to certain trim levels

so i doubt you'll see KR leather on a truck with black wheels, etc.

but you can definitely have a KR truck with an FX4 sticker....so you can get the FX4 hardware, but not the appearance part of it, i guess

not sure how well i explained that

I'm on the same timetable. Second year is usually the same as the first with fixes that are needed. The third year is usually is the first year for new features. I would expect the new transmissions to be available by then.

I'm digging this. I've never really been that impressed with the King Ranch leather. It didn't wear well, and the littlest thing would scratch them to hell, IMO. This looks better and hoping it's more durable. Still haven't seen in exterior shots of the King Ranch.

Here are the trim levels explained.

Source:
http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2014/01...irst-look.html
  • XL: This is the base model pickup with many standard features with a choice of two appearance packages: Chrome or Sport.
  • XLT: This model offers even more standard features with a unique grille; it also offers Chrome or monochromatic Sport appearance package options.
  • Lariat: This well-equipped model has loads of new features, a unique grille and offers Chrome or Sport appearance packages.
  • King Ranch: A very well-quipped trim, King Ranch has unique features inside and out, a dedicated grille and will offer a polished Chrome appearance package option.
  • Platinum: This continues as the top-of-the-line premium trim package offering the most luxurious new cabin design with the highest-grade materials seen in the segment.
With these trim levels and packages, we can now build a 5.0 tremor....

My truck is slated to be payed off in late 2015 so I could jump up to a Platinum I would like that, if not another loaded Lariat suits me fine, I'm thinking its time to go to crew cab anyway, the super cab has been too small a few times.
Plus I'm sure by then we will have heard of the new Raptor in this body style so may have to think about that too

Does anyone have any info on the transmission specs and if they are still going to use the 6R80 6 speed or is the new 9 speed will be available?

I've seen on 2 different websites that they are reporting that all engines will be with a 6 speed auto. I'm assuming that it is the 6R80 but there could always be a new and approved coming out too.
