Also some talk of an aluminum frame though there is conflicting info. One guy says that he works at a plant that is working on them. I have no problem with aluminum. They have been making aluminum cattle and horse trailers and equipment trailers for years. It should be easy for Ford to make an aluminum frame that could handle the 6k weight of the truck as well as the strength for towing.

It's interesting to see the comments from people who have seen the new frame, and they say it's "definitely not aluminum". I've noticed that repeated from several sources. Nowhere have I seen anyone say "it's steel". So could it be an alloy or metal close to aluminum but maybe they will be using a more technical name for it to sound stronger?

If SD uses the C channel it is a lot thicker than whatever there gonna use on a F150. This is part of the diet plan they are getting the F150 on. You gotta shave 700-750lbs of weight from this truck to get better MPG's. No way in heck do I want to drive a paperthin truck. Glad I bought a 2013 that is still solid and fully boxed. Looks like a SD is my future.
