I was hopeful for the F150 here! My buddy with his RAM always rubs it in that RAM won 2 years in a row.

Well if it makes you feel better, AJAC (Automobile Journalists Association of Canada) just voted the F150 as the best new pickup for 2015.
Interestingly, the F150 is the only 'North American' vehicle that was picked across all categories.

Not sure how much weight this award has in the market, especially outside of Canada, but it's gotta count for something.

I had a friend of mine brag that 'his Ram' won truck of the year two years in a row.
My response? "As many improvements as they had to make to get to where they are now, they'd better have won."
I honestly have nothing against the Ram (other than the fact that my 2002 Ram 1500 was traded in after having gone to the shop SEVENTEEN times in 18 months). I'd be happy to own one. With that said, they're doing what Toyota does now - 'Oh, we won this award...we can afford to have people pay more for our trucks.'

Honestly I kind of like the Colorado/Canyon. I think Ford could give them a good competition if they would bring the Ranger back here.
their V6 matches the 3.7 in my truck and I bet it runs pretty good in that smaller truck.

Fast Driver Slow Truck
I think they lost sight of what the Colorado was supposed to be, its supposed to be a small truck, this thing is the same size as pre 99 chevy full size trucks. its over $20k, for an entry level truck w/o a v8? I had an 06 Colorado, one of the best vehicles I ever owned. Add gas, change the oil, and replaced 1 $100 sensor at 99k miles. This is not the same truck, in a bad way.

Retired and loving it!
Truck of the year -- for me, means a fully capable 1/2 ton truck capable of towing my TT comfortably.
If all I wanted to do was carry my snow blower in for a tune up in the spring, then the Colorado might be a choice.
The max tow rating for this Colorado is only 7,000 pounds, and the max engine has only 305 hp and ONLY 269 lb/ft of torque, with a 3.42 axle ratio. Want to bet what rpm this will be turning hauling 7,000 pounds uphill? I'll bet this combination cannot even maintain highway speed.....but then again, that's just like the way GM sets up their 5.3.
