Can I use my Iphone w/usb plug in to hear navigation thru speakers in the truck? I have basic sync no touch screen Thanks in advance Curley

 

Do you not have Bluetooth in the truck?

The nerds at my dealership told me not to plug the phone directly to the USB port. They said to only use thumb drives in the USB port because anything with an OS (phone, tablet, iPod, basically anything with a screen) can cause complications in the software.

 

If no Bluetooth, I would use the aux input jack from the phone's headphone jack instead of the USB port.

 

Simple answer....no...SYNC will do absolutely nothing that you would like it to do. Ever.

 

I use android but it should be the same, go Bluetooth.

To answer your question, yes if you are using the phone over BT.

You can listen to pandora or your music on phone and directions will said over speakers.
