The STX does include intermittent wipers. The dealer can add power door locks if you need it. It's an aftermarket product and costs approx. $200. My truck was approx. $23,000 so I didn't mind not having the extra's

Same here. Maybe it's a US vs. Canada thing?

I can't believe an STX comes with no power anything up by you. I mean what you describe is a base XL with nothing.

Lol. Localish dealer has a 14 sport stx in their showroom. From reading this it's probably loaded for a Canadian one. It's a 5 liter powered SCab. Has a tailgate step.... lol... and it's orange... but crank windows and manual locks.

Here's the funny thing. Sticker to sticker it's almost exactly only $2300 cheaper than my xlt SCab was.... which has the 302a package, xtr... and the 6.2.... yeah I will take my truck any day of the week thanks with steering wheel controls, a nice d.i.c., power everything and an engine that will stomp that 5 liter into the ground... chrome or not. And they want more than what I paid for my xlt before taxes for this option less thing to boot. I talked with the parts guy about it and he laughed too... they might let it go for around 29000 before tax.... right... I am sure it will be there forever.

Holy Crap i never knew the the Canadian STX was so bare bones?! all the STX trucks i've seen and driven had carpet, power windows, locks, keyless entry, sync..the sports have been optioned with backup sensors, backup cameras, center console.

In fact i have not even seen a XL that stripped out!!!

They are bare bones , they dont even offer a key fob with these trucks. I was ok with adding a nav system and stereo but i would like factory power windows and locks as I dont like the aftermarket kits that always have some form of compromise, and i think that may be an issue with the key off delay. Apparently ford changed the wiring harness and you are not able to add auto headlights anymore either. I wanted an orange regular cab 4x4 5.0 as I have a Roush Supercharger and some misc parts but I will likely sell the stuff. It is quite a bit more for an xlt and I keep getting quotes of 2400 to 2800 to add painted bumpers and I really dont like the gray interior much , I guess this build is probably not going to happen at this point. Its around 8000.00 to step up to an xlt with having bumpers painted with base 17 wheels , that does not include grill or painted surround, we dont even have a wheel option other than the base 17 for an xlt regular cab.
