Remote start for my 2014 is not working. First time ut happened i replaced hood switch and it resolved the problem. Now a month later samething happened. Hit start button and truck just honks. Put another new hood switch and this time its not working. Truck honks once when you do remote start. Also truck honks twice when i lock it with key fob. Any suggestions?

 

One of the doors is open. Could also be the electrical connector at the hood switch, disconnect it and check for corrosion, pushed out pins, water. clean as needed.

I bent the bracket up and that has solved the double honk when i lock the doors but still no remore start.

Would a cel for bad purge valve cause any issue for no remote start?

 

Yes. Any time a powertrain system code is present remote start is disabled.
