Default 2014 remote start

I installed the OEM plugin receiver for remote start on my 2014 Ecoboost, and did the necessary changes to the module using FORScan. It has worked great for the last year. Now suddenly when I try to use the remote start the lights blink correctly but then the horn honks once and the engine doesn’t start. Same results with all 3 fobs. Any ideas as to how to fix the problem would be greatly appreciated.

That is an error code telling you something is not working correctly. This is from the manual:

The remote start system will not work if:
• the ignition is on
• the alarm system is triggered
• you disable the feature
• the hood is not closed
• the transmission is not in P
• the vehicle battery voltage is too low
• your service engine soon light is on.
The hood switch is a common issue, it seems.
