Default 2014 redesign?

A guy I work with is friends with a Ford dealer/ salesman. Co-worker goes to see him to look into buying a 2013 F150 and is told to wait because the 2014 model is a lot different than the 2013. Dealer said they usually get some photos around April or May. I called bs because everything I read says the redesign is in 2015. Anybody else hear anything similar? If not, do you think this is possible? The redesign a year early?

Anything is possible. Prob be a medium change. Some cosmetics here and there. HID's coming more standard on the trucks. Updated Wheels.

I doubt there will be many changes for the 2014 model year as it will be the last year of the current generation production. The 2015 model that comes out in fall of 2014 will be complete revamped.

I actually talked to my Ford salesman about it and he's seen the spec sheet for it, it's the same bodystyle for that year, but lots of cool stuff like heated steering wheel, LED bed lights, improved MFT hardware, blind spot warning and more stuff is going to be added to keep it competitive. Not to mention trim changes and special editions. But 2014 will be the same bodystyle as the current.

Well if that's the case, I am going to be waiting for a lot of people who would want the LED headlights, so I can get a set of HID's much cheaper by then!

I can't wait to see what the special editions will be. I'd be willing to trade my 2012 on a 2014 special edition.

I hope they come up with something a little less ho-hum than the current limited.

The last people in the world to believe anything about upcoming models, is the dealer and its salesmen.
