Coil springs with normal shocks.
Worked for 15 yrs in my 1995 F150, still is I assume. I hate that I sold it because I needed a bigger bed.
Front shocks could be changed in 15 mins each.

The 2014 and later trucks have a different shock assembly. It requires a few more twists of the wrench to get the old out and the new in.

All done. I did it like the CJ video that I shared in post #5. The worst part, really, was using the crap spring compressor which I rented from O'Reilly. That, and getting the studs on top of the strut aligned with the bottom mount. But it's all done and the truck is sitting pretty

Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences.

Now for an alignment?
Really should be done.
Ask for the before and after readings that are available.
Some places always provide them - others only on request.

Agree on the alignment, and plan to schedule it for this week, but also want to ask if a 1.25" lift is enough to throw things off significantly...?

I watched the video in post #5 and it makes no mention of the vaccumn lines or IWE system.

Takes a little longer, but there's nothing wrong with the way it is now. No need to hate.
