2014 FX4 excessively soft suspension
Hello all, apologies if this is the wrong section for this...
I bought a 2014 FX4 ruby red with black stripes Screw last week(will add pics soon) with just a hair over 12K miles...
the suspension seems wollowy and overly soft... i feel every little pebble on the road, and any hard breaking causes a nose dive.
this is not what I expect from an FX4 especially at just 12K...
Should I be looking at new springs or shocks ?? any one else had or hear of this happening at low milage ?
thanks

I found the same thing. Mine was soft since New. I just installed a Hellwig Sway Bar and it made a massive difference. I'll be ordering FOX 2.0 Coil-overs and shocks next to finish it up.
IMO, the sway bar is relatively cheap and easy to install, so I tried it first. I am only doing the shocks to ditch the AS level kit and Improve the overall ride a bit. The look nicer than the stockers too.
Some have said that they were happy with just going to aftermarket coil-overs.
Fox - Softest ride, but firmer than stock
Bilstein - Stiffer ride than Fox and Stock
Pro-Comp - Stiffer ride than either above
BOSS - Somewhere in the middle.
I've spent hours reading threads and reviews on all the coil-overs and have settled on Fox 2.0's for best overall value and ride.

Thanks for the reply... so are you talking about just the rear sway bar ?
also, did that install only stop the side/side roll or was it an over all improvement ?

Great overall improvement to the handling. I expect the shocks will aid in the straightline nose diving and "floaty" feel over moderate to large bumps.

it's soft but you feel every pebble on the road? Seems contradictory to me, do you mean soft around turns?
